What is it like to work with you?

You can expect that in working with me, I will prioritize our therapeutic relationship and give you the space to build trust with me before we jump into the deep end. I aim for you to feel worthy, safe, and secure in my presence. I hope that you experience me as warm, gentle, and patient as we dig deep into your internal self to gain insight into your thoughts and behaviors. I will help you discover how to allow authentic emotional expression, how to respond to your thoughts, and how to change behaviors you dislike. I will be an ally for you, holding your secrets and holding you in high regard when you share the things you most judge yourself for. I will inject some humor and pop culture references into our sessions. You will get to know me as someone who is inquisitive, curious, and guiding. We will laugh, cry, feel, observe, grieve, reflect, and set intentions during our work together.

Who are your clients?

I currently work with individuals and couples who are at least 18 years of age. I am welcoming to clients of all backgrounds and am committed to understanding the cultural contexts in which you live, and I am LGBTQ+ and CNM-affirming. While I work with clients on a variety of different presenting problems, my specialties include infidelity, financial therapy, and general couple/relationship issues.

My best-fit clients tend to be men who want someone patient and nonjudgmental as they learn to feel their emotions and gain insight into their behaviors; insightful, high-functioning women who want to connect to their true selves; and couples who are willing to be vulnerable with each other to strengthen their emotional and physical bond.

What is your background?

I am a native West Virginian who attended Princeton University and received an A.B. degree in Slavic Languages and Literatures. I then moved to Chicago, where I worked in the nonprofit world for a few years before earning my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy degree at Northwestern University. During my time at Northwestern, I completed my clinical training at the university’s Bette D. Harris Clinic at The Family Institute. After providing therapy in downtown Chicago for several years, I relocated to Colorado in 2020. I am currently a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) in the state of Colorado.
